MarinMap 2007-08 Work Program
Year of the Planner- Prioritize Planning Applications; Insert new spatial data layers that serve local planning department operations; Draft Service Level Agreements for new data maintenance; Design web browser-based GIS interface for viewing planning data.
1. Fire Department/District integration (after they join). Set standards for data integration and storage in SDE; Sign Service Level Agreements with Lynx Technologies and Fire staff for data maintenance.
2. FEMA Datum conversion (NAVD 1929 to 1988) - funded and in progress.

4. MTA to GSA transition - Execute new JEPAs and seek better funding models for membership
5. Add local datasets to SDE for sharing- sewer, storm drain, water.
6. Organize SDE layers into feature datasets.
7. Design a public data viewer (web browser-based GIS interface) to view MarinMap data.
8. Create feature-linked street name and Situs address annotation to enhance map creation with addresses.
9. Share utility data with other agencies.
10. Encourage member agency participation from other public agency departments.
11. Assist GSA with digital aerial photo update.
12. Implement Benchmark Project- begin with compiling existing benchmark data for posting and sharing, then work with Surveyor association for additional data.

Year of the Planner 2007
MarinMap is building data sets of digital maps and GIS applications to assist local government planners in their effort to provide efficient project application review and long range planning.
Storm Water System standards
Draft countywide standards for GIS-based storm water system. Collect and store data to support system maintenance and hyrdologic modeling.
